Developed with Skills Development Scotland, Scotland’s Biggest Parents’ Evening saw all 21 Developing the Young Workforce regional groups partner with local employers to showcase to parents the critical skills and occupations of the future through local events across the country.
Parents and carers heard from Skills Development Scotland about Industry 4.0 and the impact it will have on future work and skills. They also heard from Sharon Hodgson, Ayrshire Growth Deal about the investment that will be made in Ayrshire via the Deal over the next ten years.
In addition parents and carers heard directly from Barclays Bank, Booth Welsh and GE Caledonian about opportunities within their industry, apprenticeship process and skills that they want to see young people coming to them with.
