AVQ Management had the pleasure of hosting Jack, a forth year pupil at Kilmarnock Academy for a week’s work experience in September 2019. Jack fulfilled the role of Junior Administrator providing support to our systems Manager and her team. During this time Jack got to experience ‘working life’ and what it takes to keep an office running efficiently.
AVQ Management’s Systems Manager Pauline MacRae said, “We felt it was important to give Jack as varied a week as we could and, as such, gave him the opportunity to take part in a team branding workshop off site with the entire AVQ team. In addition to this, Jack also attended a half day’s training course to update his Excel skills. We wanted to ensure that Jack left AVQ Management with an increased set of skills from his first workplace experience”.
Our team enjoyed hosting Jack and watching him flourish as the week progressed. Jack completed his placement with new skills, greater confidence and with an appreciation that learning a lifelong commitment.
