Marr College Careers Event February 2025

“In February, Marr College hosted an engaging and exciting Careers Fair, bringing together professionals from a range of industries to inspire and guide S2-S6 pupils. The event gave students a fantastic chance to explore career options, ask questions, and make valuable connections. 

There was a great mix of industries, including healthcare, aerospace, construction, engineering, law, and public services. Professionals from NHS, Collins Aerospace, Morrisons and Buzzworks, Ashleigh Construction, Transport Scotland, and Police Scotland shared their experiences and advice. Local businesses and national employers also helped showcase different career paths. 

The impact on pupils was huge. “Speaking to solicitors helped me understand different legal career paths and confirmed my ambition to study law,” said an S5 pupil. Another student interested in engineering found the fair incredibly helpful: “Talking to professionals gave me a much clearer idea of what I need to do to achieve my goals.”
