Saxen were delighted to host the P5/6 and P7 Newmilns Primary pupils in our showroom and offices in May. The showroom tour went down well and the kids were particularly impressed with the moss wall, 3D wall art and the acoustic panels used for sound proofing office spaces, but I think what peaked their interest most was the gaming chairs!
After having a tour of our showroom, the pupils were invited to design an office for their head teacher using products from our website. The pupils had expensive taste but I am sure the head teacher would have loved her new space!
It was a pleasure to have the kids in our showroom and we hope it showed them the different job functions involved and may inspire them to explore design or sales roles in the future.
On Friday 10th May pupils from P5/6 and P7 visited the Saxen offices in Newmilns. They had invited us after they were at our careers fair a few months ago. Firstly we saw their website and created our own office then we designed a new office for our Head teacher. It was an expensive office that cost over £2,000! We realized that online shopping for furniture is really expensive
The second station was upstairs where we looked at the main area where some seating and lighting was on display and they told us how they use recycled plastic to make these sound proof boardings you can put on your walls in your office to prevent too much noise from the other offices.
Finally on our tour we went upstairs to see more furniture, bigger and more eyecatching furniture to sit on. In the room next to that there were two offices, lots of chairs [Gaming chairs and office chairs.] After that we went to the top floor where the rest of the offices are located. Up there was this cool Wall art of 3D Stoney moss and other colourful wall art. We have learned a lot about furniture and the effort that goes into making them. Thank you Saxen for inviting us to your offices I hope other people will come and visit Saxen!
