“In March 2024, Southcraig School successfully launched 3 new innovative school projects as part of their DYW activities within the Senior Phase department. These included the Sunshine Café, Southcraig Market Garden and the Marvellous Makers. The launch was attended by the Lord Lieutenant plus other guests and was a morning full of joy and pride, allowing pupils to show off their talents and hard work. Through DYW Ayrshire funding, we received a barista machine and a large polytunnel. Both items have not only benefitted the school community, but allowed pupils to further develop their knowledge, skills and experiences which they can use when they transition to post school destinations.” Debbie Skeoch and Lisa Wilson, Southcraig School
